— SECTION 02 / FAQ

Common questions, straight answers.

How often should I have my septic tank pumped?

For most households, every 3–5 years is the standard recommendation — but it really depends on tank size, number of people in the home, and what's going down the drain. A quick site visit (or a phone call) is the most honest way to know. Give us a ring and we'll tell you straight.

What are the signs my septic system needs repair?

Slow drains, gurgling pipes, sewage odors near the tank or drainfield, soggy or unusually green patches in the yard, backups in the lowest drains, and aerobic-system alarms going off are all calls to make sooner than later. The longer these go ignored, the bigger the repair.

How long does a septic tank installation take?

Most residential installs are completed in a few days of on-site work, but the full process (site evaluation, design, permitting, install, inspection) typically runs a couple of weeks. We walk you through the timeline before any digging begins so there are no surprises.

Do you offer emergency septic services?

When you call during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM), we make every effort to dispatch a crew the same day for urgent issues like backups and alarm conditions. Call (936) 258-3080 and let us know what's going on — we'll triage and tell you straight what we can do.

What's the difference between aerobic and conventional systems?

Conventional systems rely on gravity and natural anaerobic bacteria in a buried tank, then disperse effluent through a drainfield. Aerobic systems add oxygen to accelerate breakdown and produce cleaner effluent — usually distributed by spray heads or drip. Aerobics handle tougher soils and smaller lots but need scheduled maintenance and a power supply.
